A Letter from Jayanthe & Roshan

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about Sancta Maria Montessori.

When we moved to New Zealand to raise our three young children, we didn’t yet know this land would become home. But it did, and it welcomed us fully. After years working and studying in early childhood centres here, Jayanthe felt a quiet, growing pull to give something back to the country and the community that had given our family so much.

That is how Sancta Maria Montessori began. We opened our first centre on Curletts Road in 2012, and a second on Sherborne Street in 2019 each one built on the same idea: that a truly good early childhood doesn’t need to be big, only well considered.

We wanted to open our doors to families who, like us, simply want the very best start for their child: real Montessori, taught with care, in purposely built Montessori centres. We believe quality comes from small numbers, not big ones, and from teachers who take the time to truly know your child.

We see Sancta Maria Montessori as a home we get to share with your family, and with every child who walks through our door.
